Press Release | South East 4x4 Response is now a Registered Charity
We are delighted and extremely proud to be able to announce that South East 4x4 Response is now a charity registered in England (1168367) with the stated aim “To preserve and protect human life and property, in particular but not exclusively by providing equipment, vehicles and other resources to offer support in adverse conditions”
Southeast 4x4 response was formed over eight years ago to provide specialist 4x4 vehicles and drivers to support the emergency services, local authorities and various other voluntary groups in times of adverse weather. Over the years we have grown to provide vehicular & logistical support to various charitable groups such as Kent Search and Rescue and Mc Millan Nurses and we are proud to be a key member of the Kent Resilience forum and Kent Voluntary Sector Emergency Group headed up by KCC’s Emergency planning team.
The Group consists of around 80 fully trained, police vetted and insured volunteers from all walks of life who each donate the use of their own 4x4 vehicles, fuel, equipment and time freely in support of their community. Each and every responder is trained in first aid, vehicle recovery, radio communications, navigation, off road driving and dynamic risk assessment with further specialist & role specific certified training available such as evidence handling, water awareness, swift water rescue and amateur radio licensing.
